Dr. Marc Alber founded Alber Dental Studio in Boulder, Colorado in 1998 and has spent over 27 years building one of the Front Range’s most trusted fee-for-service practices. Patients come to him for CEREC same-day crowns, cosmetic smile makeovers, Invisalign, and complex restorative cases that require both precision and artistry.
A graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska — where he completed both undergraduate and dental school in eight years — Dr. Alber moved to Colorado immediately after graduation and has cared for Boulder-area patients ever since.
Patient Care Philosophy
Dr. Alber takes an unhurried, detail-oriented approach with every patient, explaining each step before treatment begins. His goal is for patients to leave fully informed about what was done, what comes next, and why it matters. By operating as a fee-for-service practice, he structures every treatment plan around clinical need — not around what an insurance contract allows.
Education and Professional Training
Creighton University, Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, and Spear Faculty
Dr. Alber earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, completing both his undergraduate and dental education in eight years before relocating to Colorado. He is a CEREC mentor and educator at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry through Cerecdoctors.com, teaching same-day crown technology to dentists nationwide, and maintains his clinical edge through Spear Faculty continuing education.
Dr. Alber is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He holds a conscious sedation permit and is an Invisalign Gold Provider. As a fee-for-service practice, he and Dr. Llorente build every treatment plan entirely around a patient’s clinical needs — not around what a given insurance network allows.
Teaching & Continuing Education
Dr. Alber is an active mentor at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, where he teaches CEREC same-day crown technology to dentists nationwide. He pursues ongoing education through Spear Faculty to stay at the forefront of restorative and cosmetic dentistry as the field continues to evolve.
New and Returning Patients Are Welcome
Dr. Alber continues to see patients in Boulder at Alber Dental Studio and is currently accepting new patients. Alber Dental Studio operates as a fee-for-service practice, meaning the office does not contract directly with dental insurance companies, but many patients still use their out-of-network benefits to offset treatment costs. For patients without insurance, or with plans that don’t cover a full course of treatment, the practice accepts CareCredit, Cherry, and Altheon financing, HSA and FSA funds, cash, check, and credit cards, along with an in-house Membership Plan for patients who prefer a flat annual rate.
